A jármű leírása
Our Dodge Charger R/T was completed in 1970, in the rare color of Light Blue Metallic (believed to be one of 225 examples in this shade) over a Blue vinyl interior. The Dodge was completed with the following list of options, decoded from the fender tag:
The Charger is fully matching numbers and was imported a few years ago by the consigning owner, who has gone to great lengths to make this Charger undoubtedly the best in Europe. Incredible care was taken during the 7-year long restoration to ensure that every part and bit of originality was conserved instead of replaced. The body was fully stripped and blasted with glass beads, then primed with 2K rust protection. All body panels were kept in their original form, revised, and aligned. The trunk floor and the footwell were the only body parts to be changed as they were too far gone to save. All chassis attachment parts were powder-coated or galvanized. The original servomotor for the headlights was retained and plastic parts such as gears were recreated using 3D printing technology. The engine, gearbox, and axle were completely overhauled and sealed. Besides being matching numbers engine and gearbox, the carburetor is also correct, with case number 4741. The owner preferred not to add the vinyl roof according to his taste, but notes that it is a change that can easily be made.
Currently with us in Munich, Germany, this is one of the best Dodge Charger R/T’s on the market. A car that benefitted from a concours level restoration, something that is rarely seen as the cost of doing such a restoration isn’t financially viable.
