2013 Jaguar XJL 5.0 facelift private

For sale our personal car, 2013 Jaguar XJL 5.0. This is facelift version, with new infotainment system as well as 8 speed ZF transmission. This was a very short production run as by the end of 2013 5.0 engine with 385 HP was replaced by 3.0 supercharged version with 340 HP. This is an extremely nice car to drive. With the 5.0 and fast ZF transmission you are never lack the power and speed. In the city and fast highway (160+ km/h) I average 11.5 l/100km which is not bad.

Car was personally imported by me to Europe from California in 2022. In California it had only one owner. Today the car has 103 000 km, when I bought it, it had around 65 000. Car has never been in the accidents. All the paint is original. Has tiny parking scuffs but those you see only up very close. Inside is a super clean, non-smoking car. Car is of course registered in NL and has valid APK.

I used the car as my company car, so it has been maintained by Jaguar specialist. Most importantly I had the timing chain with the guides replaced. The 5.0 (and 3.0) engine is generally very reliable except for the timing chains. Especially pre-2015 cars often suffer from stretched or broken chain. Timing replacement is a very expensive job, easily exceeding 5k EUR. My car has the updated chain and guides (original from Jaguar) and I change oil every 7 500 km (0W20 JLR spec).

Other than timing chains these Jaguars are extremely reliable not only in luxury class but in general. My only non-maintenance part that I had to replace was the AC compressor (last summer) and suspension height sensor. As part of the maintenance I had new brakes (rotors and pads) and battery installed last year. Everything works in the car. There are no issues with it.

I upgraded the infotainment system to Apple Carplay/Android Auto functionality. This means you have modern navigation (Google Maps, Waze etc.) on the screen as well as Spotify interface. Of course, all original screens/functionalities are still present.

Car is fully equipped, this is a Portfolio long version with cooled and heated seats, heated steering and premium Meridian sound.

Why am I selling the car? We are both expats living in Amsterdam, I have 2 more Jaguars and Range Rover back home and we decided to bring Ranger Rover to Amsterdam. Since we live in the old town, I can park only one car, so XJL has to go. Other then that I have no pressure to sell the car, so negotiation "space" on price is somewhat limited.
