This Mercedes-Benz R129 is fitted with the smooth and great sounding 3 liter inline six. This gives the SL a much sharper turn-in because of the lack of weight on the nose. The 231 BHP are still very much up to job at hand and delivers its power very linear trough the automatic gearbox.
