Peugeot launched a car in the 1960s that would quickly become extremely popular: the 404. The family car had a characteristic styling and was also popular on the African continent. One of the popular models of the 404 was the Familiale, a 7-seater car with a lot of luggage space.
Peugeot started producing the 404 in 1960. The car was designed by the famous design house Pininfarina. The 404 was sold as a sedan, pick-up and station wagon and would be a huge success for the brand with the lion.
As mentioned, Peugeot launched several variants of the 404. One of those variants is this Familiale, a 7-seater car. The car was praised for its build quality and excellent interior, but the car's appearance was criticized.
This is a very nice Peugeot 404 Familiale with a beautiful interior with sleek sheet metal and virtually no filler. However, as you can see in the photos, it has minor damage and dents. There is also some surface rust on the otherwise hard sills. There are some rust blisters on the right rear door and rear screen. The only thing missing from the car is a door catch for the driver's door. Furthermore, the car drives fine. Engine runs nicely. Because the car has stood still for a few years, it is wise to have it serviced before use.

Dit betreft een zeer mooie Peugeot 404 Familiale met een prachtig interieur met strak plaatwerk en vrijwel geen vulmiddel. Echter zoals je op de foto's kunt zien heeft hij kleine beschadigingen en deukjes. Ook zit er wat oppervlakkige roest op de verder harde dorpels. Er zitten wat roestblaasjes op de rechter achterdeur en achterruit. Het enige dat aan de auto ontbreekt, is een deurvanger voor het bestuurdersportier. Verder rijdt de auto prima. Motor loopt mooi. Omdat de auto een paar jaar stil heeft gestaan, is het verstandig om hem voor gebruik een onderhoudsbeurt te laten geven.
